Filming for My Music Video

On November 20th I started filming my music video at the actors house. The day before I looked over my storyboard so I knew what scene I wanted to start with. I gathered everything I needed to film for this music video, like my phone to film on and my storyboard.  I brought my storyboard so I knew what I needed to film while I was there. Knowing what I needed to film helped me everything in a timely manner since we had to film in two locations. When we started filming I made sure to tell my actor what they needed to do in each scene in detail. However I still needed to re-film multiple scenes, multiple times because we couldn't get the right shot or angle.  We completed all of the filming at the house after multiple takes of different scenes. We later went into the car and filmed a scene, which took a very long time to film since we kept on messing up the shot. We then drove to the beach with the rest of our props, and filmed a couple of scenes within the car. However when we got to the beach we faced a major problem while at the there. The problem was that there were no waves to surf, the beach was disappointingly flat. With the ocean being flat, I couldn't have my actor surf on the waves, so I had to come up with another plan. My other plan was that instead of my actor surfing, they would be swimming and being in the ocean. We ended up filming my alternate scene instead of my actor surfing, which ended up working very well. We filmed the rest of the scenes before my actor had to swim. We ended up taking multiple takes on the same scene since I had to follow my actor for one scene, and the camera work looked very messy. We then completed all of the scenes after filming my actor swimming in the ocean. After we finished filming, I decided to film some extra scenes to make sure I would meet the sixty second mark. Overall this was a great experience filming, and I believe a got a lot better when it comes to filming.
