Introduction to the Music Video Project

I will be starting a new project for this class, my music video project. For this new project I have decided to work by myself and not in a group. I have always been a very independent person, and I overall work better alone than I do with other people. I also have other responsibilities to attend to while working on this project, and I think that I would have to work by my schedule, not anyone else's. I also don't like relying on other people to complete a project since there's a possibility they may not complete it by the due date. Overall I think working by myself would be the best choice for this project. The song I chose for this project is "Die Young" by Kesha. I thought about using multiple songs, and that was a big issue since I couldn't decide on what song to use. I wanted to have a song that had a very happy and exciting mood, which is a description for a lot of songs. I started off with writing down all the songs that I wanted to use for my music video. As an avid music listener, there was a long list of songs to choose from, from pop to rock, and even classical music. Then I tried to have a summary of what I wanted my music video to be like, and what mood it would give off. I decided I wanted my music video to be upbeat and happy, which made me rule out some songs. I looked at all of my remaining songs and looked at which I liked the best, and if the beat went with my idea of the music video. After a lot of process of elimination and research about each song, I decided that "Die Young" by Kesha was the best fitting song overall. I have always really enjoyed this song ever since it came out, and it really stuck out to me. I enjoy the overall beat of the song and I think it is the perfect song to have a music video to. This song has a very happy beat to it, and can get anyone in a happy mood. This very good and happy beat, paired with my upbeat music video will be a great match for this music video. I have listened to this song for a long time, and it always makes me feel very upbeat and happy, I would consider it to be one of my favorite songs. I am very excited to get started and working on this new project.
