What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?

This movie takes place in a suburb with normal people doing normal things, which is common for thrillers. Also the movie is very suspenseful and eerie throughout the entirety, and even at the end makes us in a way feeling suspenseful. There are also scenes that have dark lighting which adds to the suspense of the movie. Also the acting in the movie as a lot of emotion throughout the entire movie, which creates tension. The movie did use special effects makeup for the actors to seem rugged after they fought someone, which is common for thrillers. The setting is also in a dark area multiple times throughout the movie. This movie also has a lot of shocking or surprising portions which adds to the movie. The movie also uses camera angles that are typically used in thrillers.

What elements of the genre did the movie have that you like?

I really enjoyed how suspenseful it was throughout the movie, I was constantly at the edge of my seat. I also enjoyed the emotion used when the actors were acting, this added a lot of tension. I also think they used synchronous sound very well to create a very eerie feeling throughout the movie. The special effects makeup was also very good since it added to the movie and made all of the scenes feel real. I also enjoyed that it took place in a suburb and that all the characters were normal people. I also really enjoyed how the movie was filmed with the camera movements. I also enjoyed how the characters were costumed to look like normal people. I also enjoyed how they brought all the characters together to relate to one final plot.

What elements of the genre did the movie have that did not appeal to you?

There were times were the lighting of the movie was really dark, to the point where I felt like I couldn't see much. I didn't really enjoy the asynchronous sound within the movie, however I liked the rest of the sound. I also didn't enjoy how the movie was narrated from a third persons point of view, and I thought it made the movie move slower. I didn't enjoy some of the gore within certain parts of the movie, however I was okay with most of it.
