Genre Research: I Care A Lot

 What element of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?

This movie has some scenes that have low-key lighting, and dark scenery. Also the costumes of the people in this movie has everyone dressing in normal clothing, even if their bad. There are some scenes with sound that feels eerie or mysterious which adds to the plot of the thriller. The acting helps build the tension between the characters, and also adds suspense to the movie. The camera angles used are typical camera angles used within thrillers. The music is also eerie and suspenseful which allows for the thriller to feel very mysterious and suspenseful. These factors are typical thing that are seen in thrillers, that could be found in this film. This film also has to do with normal people living in a normal city doing normal things. This film also has the typical props in thrillers like guns and other weapons.

What elements of the genre did the movie have that you like?

I enjoyed how suspenseful the movie was, with a new surprise at every moment of the movie. I also enjoyed the music of the movie since it added suspense to the movie. I enjoyed the acting since it felt very real and added some sort of suspense, which kept me at the edge of my seat. I liked how everything could be seen and it was easy to understand the plot. I liked the setting of the plot since it adds to the plot and how suspenseful it was. The props used in the movie added to the plot of the movie and the tension between characters.  I also enjoyed the lighting within the movie since it added to the character and the theme of the movie.

What elements of the genre did the movie have that did not appeal to you?

There wasn't much about the movie that I didn't enjoy since it was a good movie. However I did not enjoy how some of the makeup looked sometimes within the movie. I also did not enjoy how sometimes the music would abruptly start and end in scenes. Overall the movie was very good and I enjoyed watching it a lot.
