Finding New Actors

It was coming closer to the day where I had to start filming, and disaster struck. One of the actors I was going to film with got COVID-19 and can't film with me. At first I was struck with a range of emotions because they were out with the other actors, so I wouldn't be able to film with them either. I was so stressed out and I had so much anxiety since I was told very close to the day that I had to start filming. The first thing I did was tell everyone that I would no longer be filming with them. I had to keep myself and my family safe from getting and spreading COVID-19. Instead of just sitting there and doing nothing about the obstacle, I decided to push filming back a day and find new actors. That was another issue, where was I going to find actors in such short notice in a pandemic. At first I had no idea what to do, I was so focused on the film and the props, that I totally forgot about what to do if my actors cancel on me. I called a couple of people to see if they would be available to film and they all said no. Around this time I started feeling really frustrated and annoyed since I couldn't find anyone to film. However, I realized later that I had people right in front of me who could film with me. My mother, my father, and my grandfather were the safest most reliable people to film with. Since we have all been quarantining and my family (other than me) got the vaccine, I knew that they would be okay. I talked to them about filming and they were all okay with filming for my film, in fact they were excited. I spoke to them about safety protocols that would be in place while filming to keep everyone safe. I spoke about how if they weren't filming they would have to wear their masks, even though they have the vaccine. I also spoke about how I would have  a first aid kit while we were filming, and that we would be able to call emergency services if needed. I then went over the script with them, and they were all okay with everything in the film. I am so happy that I was able to overcome this obstacle.
