Planning for Final Task: location, health, and schedule

 Schedule

For my final task I will try to start filming on March 13, to make sure I can contact everyone who must be in the film, and make sure they can be there. I will only be able to film on the weekends due to the fact that I have to be at online school for most of the day during the week and I play a high school sport. Thus, with this in mind I decided that I will try to conclude my filming on March 28. After I complete my filming I will start the editing the following weekend, which will be April 3. I will try to finish editing my film together by April 17, to make sure I have enough time to edit it. I will be uploading all of my film to iMovie to edit all the scenes together. Following the conclusion of my editing I will show the film to some peers for peer editing. I will also watch the film by myself to see if everything fits together and makes sense within the storyline.

Health

In order to keep the safety of the people within the film, there will be a first aid kit on the sight. Also I will make sure all weapons being used in this film cannot harm anyone or anything. Rope may be used when the actor is kidnapped, however the rope will not be tied tight enough to cause any harm. Also when the kidnapper muffles the actors screams, the actor will still be able to breathe. If something were to happen during the filming process, I will be able to call emergency services if I need more than a first aid kit. Also, with the current pandemic going on, all of the people who will be participating in the film will be tested for COVID-19 prior to shooting. Also, when we are filming, if anyone is in the area we will be socially distanced from them to keep the safety of the people around us and the people participating. When we are not filming, we will be wearing our masks and maintaining social distancing guidelines, and everyone who is not acting will be wearing a mask at all times. However, masks will be taken off of the actors while we are filming scenes to be able to hear the actors clearly. While the actors are not wearing masks, we will be socially distanced from anyone that is within the area.

Location

I will be filming my project at a park near the area where I live, to stay true to the kidnapping theme. Also since it is an open area, it is safer to film than a inclosed space.

 I decided not to film this weekend due to the fact that I didn't have all the items needed. In a previous blog I mentioned all of the items I needed to film. The past weekend I decided to dedicate it to making a list and buying everything I needed for the film. Planning to Film

 I can not film during the week due to school and other obligations I have. Instead of not being proactive about filming, I decided that I am going to see what I need to do before I film. I looked at what props I would need for the film, and seeing what I would need to do to attain that. I decided that I will probably need some rope for my final task, so I have to see how much it costs, and where to buy it. I also must decide when I am going to go out and buy the rope with my parents since I don't have a car. I also must decide who I want to act in the film and who they are going to play. After I decide who I want to be in the film, and who they are going to play, I have to contact them. I plan to start filming and having everything I need by next weekend, so that gives me a lot of time to plan. Genre Research: Action

 I conducted research this year on the action genre of movies where I discussed the different aspects of the genre of action movies. I made sure in the powerpoint to add different pictures and examples of each term I researched. I specifically used pictures from action movies to show how each term was used and to show action examples. I discussed the lighting in action movies, which typically tends to be low-key lighting, high-key lighting, and Rembrandt lighting. I used pictures from movies like "Fight Club" to show the use of this lighting in these movies. I discussed the camera angles in action movies, which tend to be establishing shots, ariel shots, close up shots, mid shots, and high angle shots.
