Reshooting and Reediting

After spring break came I thought I was done with filming. However, that was not the case, I ended up having to reshoot some scenes. I was watching the film and I saw that there were times where props weren't in the shot or I just didn't like the scene. I had to reshoot the scene where friend 2 gets kidnapped. That was very frustrating because I forgot to hand the kidnapper the notebook for the scene. We ended up having to go back to the site of where we filmed and film that portion again. We had to film it multiple time to make sure that the scene looked natural. Also, there were some scenes, that just didn't look right, so I decided to reshoot those again. I also had to reshoot some scenes due to the audio quality. There were some scenes where you could not hear the actors talking. I also had to reedit some parts of the film after I thought that I got it down to two minutes. I was watching the film with the edits that I made and some of the choices I made, made no sense. I had to make some decisions to add some thing back into the film and to take other things out. This was very challenging, probably even harder than the initial editing. This was so hard because I really felt that everything was important. However, I also thought the things I took out initially were small details that didn't matter as much as the other parts. Watching it again showed that some of the clips I took out made the film flow better. I made sure to add some clips back in, however that made me have to decide what other clips I should take out. I am happy that I decided to reedit because some of the new clips I took out were actually insignificant to the film. Also some of the clips I took out helped create some suspense to the film.
