Reviewing My Opening Sequence
After I had reshot and reedited my film, I decided to show someone my opening sequence. I needed an outsiders viewpoint of the opening sequence to see what needed to be fixed. I sent my opening sequence to a friend for them to critique. They watched the opening sequence multiple times to see what needed to be fixed within the editing, or film. A couple of things needed to be fixed within the editing of the video. First thing that needed to be fixed were that some clips were louder than others. Another thing that needed to be fixed was that the music playing in the background of some scenes, was not loud enough. Also sometimes the audio would cut in and out. Also there was a point where the titles were going too fast and they couldn't read them. Just overall the sound quality wasn't good in some parts of the film. Thus to solve these problems I started to fix them. I first started working on the volume of some clips to try to make them as even as possible. Fixing the audio took a long time because I had to try to match the audio of every clip together. Since I fixed the audio of every clip in my film, I had to work on the music playing in the background. This made me have to make some clips lower than others in the film so that people could hear the music. The audio cutting in and out was due to the fact that I initially lowered some of the clips audio too low. The audio cutting out was fixed when I was fixing the audio to make it even with the clips. I made the titles go slower so that they could read them when watching the film. After I fixed everything in my film, I sent the film back to them to watch again. They said that they didn't have any critiques after that.
