Starting the Final Task

 Hello, I am Danielle Sigrist, I am in 10th grade and I am going to start my final task for AICE Media Studies. I am trying to complete my Cambridge Diploma by the end of this year, and I may be able to do it if I pass all of my AICE exams. I love watching movies, and I am very excited to start my final task and complete it. I have learned so much about the film making process and how movies are distributed over the course of this year. I have really enjoyed taking this class, and learning about everything there is to know about movies. For my final task I have decided that I am going to work alone for this project. Due to COVID-19, I can't go out and film with certain people since I have to keep my family safe. Also, I have completed every project by myself up to now so I would not like to add another person to my project now. I am a very independent person and I like to go on my own schedule to complete this project and use my own ideas. Overall, I believe that working by myself would be the best option for me to complete this project. However, I believe that this project will be a challenge to do on my own since I would have to complete everything by myself. I have to film, edit, upload, and overall just complete everything on my own by the due date so my project can be completed. Also this project will be longer than all of the projects I have done previously, thus adding another challenge. Even though there are so many challenges I will have to face completing this project alone, I will rise to the occasion. This project will show how much I've grown when it comes to the film making process, and overall how much I've learned this year. Since I am working by myself, I will get to work on becoming better at editing since that is where I struggle sometimes. Completing this project by myself not only will show how much I have learned this year, but also show that I have learned to complete longer projects. At the beginning of this year, we had done short projects, however this project will be the longest one I have ever done. I am nervous to start this project alone, but I am also excited to attempt to film the first two minutes of my own original film. I am very excited to start this project and prove to myself that I am able to complete the first two minutes of a film.

 Props I decided to create a Gatorade commercial, with that comes the planning and creation of this commercial. For this commercial I am going to use a bottle of Gatorade as a prop to advertise and drink within this commercial.  Costumes For this commercial I will have one main person throughout the whole commercial. Genre Research: Action

 I conducted research this year on the action genre of movies where I discussed the different aspects of the genre of action movies. I made sure in the powerpoint to add different pictures and examples of each term I researched. I specifically used pictures from action movies to show how each term was used and to show action examples. I discussed the lighting in action movies, which typically tends to be low-key lighting, high-key lighting, and Rembrandt lighting. I used pictures from movies like "Fight Club" to show the use of this lighting in these movies. I discussed the camera angles in action movies, which tend to be establishing shots, ariel shots, close up shots, mid shots, and high angle shots.
