Genre Decision

Image
After a lot of research, time, and effort thought into what genre I should do my final task on, I have finally decided. I have decided that I should do a film in the genre of a thriller, since I think thrillers are very interesting. Thrillers are a unique genre of movies since they keep the audience on the edge of their seat. At first, I wanted to make some kind of action movie since I used to watch a lot of action movies. This was an issue since action movies are really hard to make since they usually involve a lot of stunts. Also, because of COVID-19, it is really hard to find places to film since you have to wear a mask, and places are closed. Action movies are usually really hard to film normally, let alone in the middle of a pandemic where it is hard to find places to film. I also thought about doing a comedy sort of film for my final task since I also enjoyed comedies. However an issue with comedies is that the plot is not too good in my opinion. Also some comedies could be ...

My Pitch

Image
After spending time thinking about this project, I have come up with two pitches for this task. My first pitch is a story about someone getting kidnapped and they must find clues to find the kidnapper and their friend. My second pitch is a story about a murderer targeting a group of people and they have to find out who the murderer is before everyone is killed. These two pitches took a long time to come up with since I really wanted to do something that not only interested me but others. I first had to come up with an idea about what I overall wanted the genre to be about. After a lot of thinking, I decided I wanted my movie to be in the genre of a thriller since movies that are thrillers usually keep everyone entertained. After deciding that I wanted my project to be a thriller, I had to think about what I wanted my project to be about. I came up with these two ideas since I love mysteries and thought that it would be really fun to film these two ideas. I believe that these two ideas ...

Starting the Final Task

Image
Hello, I am Danielle Sigrist, I am in 10th grade and I am going to start my final task for AICE Media Studies. I am trying to complete my Cambridge Diploma by the end of this year, and I may be able to do it if I pass all of my AICE exams. I love watching movies, and I am very excited to start my final task and complete it. I have learned so much about the film making process and how movies are distributed over the course of this year. I have really enjoyed taking this class, and learning about everything there is to know about movies. For my final task I have decided that I am going to work alone for this project. Due to COVID-19, I can't go out and film with certain people since I have to keep my family safe. Also, I have completed every project by myself up to now so I would not like to add another person to my project now. I am a very independent person and I like to go on my own schedule to complete this project and use my own ideas. Overall, I believe that working by myself ...
